New News!

1/18/18

Great win yesterday at Notre Dame for the 8th grade Boys Basketball Dolphins! The team defense was fantastic with Caden Strat locking it down.  Awesome three point shooting by Nicolas and Isaiah. The boys play today against B40 at 5pm for the consolation champion title.  Good luck Dolphins!

The 6th grade Boys Basketball team ended their season on a two game winning streak with a victory over Shoreline yesterday to earn them the title of consolation champions! Blake came out on fire, hitting off balance runners and cashing in on his free throws. Jack P. was knocking down baseline jumpers and the defensive tone of the second half was set by Brady and Ben on the wings. What an awesome way to end the season! Way to go dolphins!

What a great team effort that was tonight!

The 6th grade boys basketball won last night against Holy Cross in the second round of their post season tournament. Henry was the leading scorer nailing floaters and jumpers, and Evan controlled the tempo beautifully while earning a handful of highlight-reel assists to Neel who had some killer left handled finishes at the rim.. Ben hit a mid range bank shot and knocked down some free-throws. And Colin, jack and Brady added some clutch  rebounds in the second half to help the Dolphins seal the deal for the win! They advance to the consolation championship game today at 3:30 at shoreline. The boys will receive early outs again, more details will be included in the next post (early outs requirements). Thanks again for all the wonderful support tonight, I couldn't be happier for the boys after tonight's big win!

School Sports Programs

After school sports are very important to the growth and development of many students. Lessons learned from participating in school athletics are priceless! These include learning new skills, discipline, camaraderie, school spirit and a sense of belonging.

Scotts Valley Middle School does not receive state or district funding for after school sports.  It costs approximately $100.00 per athlete to run each team.

Your $100.00 donation helps fund CCAL tournament and referee fees, coaches stipends, equipment, uniforms and their maintenance.

Another alternative to your donation is to fundraise by either purchasing or selling two or more Covello and Covello Photography Coupons, each redeemable for an 8x10 Studio Family Session, or, working Bingo when we open.

We know your time is valuable so instead of fundraising, we simply ask, if it is possible, that you donate funds to help support our award winning, precious athletic program!

It takes a village!

Thank you so much for your support!
