Update from the Superintendent - September 21st

    Dear SVUSD Community,

Recently, updated guidance came out from Public Health related to Sports and Extracurricular Activity Requirements  - please see the letter from the Santa Cruz County Superintendents related to that information.  Please note that we are required to follow the guidelines published by Public Health.  We know that not all parents are in agreement with these requirements, but sending out mean-spirited emails or threats to our staff will not change the requirements that we are expected to uphold.

Additionally, SVUSD has posted our COVID Dashboard data on the District's website.  The Dashboard will be updated weekly, and can be found on the District website homepage at the top of the right-hand column.

We continue to implement regular bi-weekly PCR testing at all of our school sites, and we encourage you to have your students participate.

Thank you for helping us keep students and staff as safe as we can on our campuses.  We understand that this is a collaborative effort and we appreciate your participation.

    Best regards,

    Tanya Krause, Superintendent

Letter from the Santa Cruz County Superintendents - September 1st

    Dear SVUSD Community,

Our educational community has suffered a very sad loss.

The Santa Cruz County Superintendents gathered together in unity to send this communication in support, and in response, to this tragic event.  We are collectively assisting Aptos High School and want to remind everyone how important it is to check in with kids about these serious kinds of events.

    Our collective letter is attached.

    Most sincerely,

    Tanya Krause
    Superintendent
